Allocated tasks for a project can often be delayed due to unforeseen circumstances, affecting the timeline of your project. When this occurs, you want to be sure to update the dates of dependent tasks to keep from having problems with your project timeline. You can accomplish this through the Gantt Chart view on the Allocation & Forecasting screen.
Each task is represented by a blue diamond and is aligned to the date it begins and ends. To change the start date of a task, drag the diamond to the desired date. After this, BQE CORE prompts you with the message 'The Start Date of other task that are dependent on this task will change. Do you want to update the dependent tasks automatically?' Click OK and CORE will shift the start and end dates of the dependent tasks accordingly.
