Client contacts when invoicing

When a user is attempting to invoice a client and selects a billing contact, there is no option in the drop-down. The user cannot enable the option to Send Invoice to Contact from the Projects screen.

To assign a Billing Contact at the project level, you must first have client contacts added to the client's profile. To fix this:

  1. Open the Clients screen from the side menu > Contacts > Clients.
  2. In the list view, select a client on the grid and click View Details.
  3. In the detail view, go to the Contacts tab and click Add.
  4. On the Contact Detail screen, enter the required information and save the record.

Note: The new contact inherits the company name and address of the client itself, but you can change it. You can also set a contact as the main or primary contact for a client, to whom all the invoices are sent.

After this, the client contacts can be available in the Projects screen, which can then be made as the billing contact, making sure the invoices are sent to that person by checking that option.
