The Accounting Date field appears on records such as invoices and bills even when Accounting Periods is turned off. In some screens, the field looks editable, while in others it appears grayed out.
This is normal as CORE always displays the Accounting Date field for consistency. When Accounting Periods is disabled, the field is read-only even if it appears editable in some areas. You cannot change it in the disabled state.
