User has set the rule, Memo is required for time entry; however, the memo on the time entry screen is already populated with a description.
This occurs when a predefined memo is configured for the selected Activity Item. By design, CORE automatically copies the activity memo into the Memo field when the activity is selected, regardless of whether the project requires a memo.
When changing the selected Activity Item, CORE updates the memo automatically based on the activity memo settings:
- If the selected activity contains a predefined memo, the existing memo is replaced with the activity memo.
- If the selected activity does not contain a predefined memo, the existing memo is retained.
- In Weekly Time Card, manually entered memos are preserved when switching between activities.
In Daily Time Card and Time Entries screens, CORE refreshes the activity memo each time a different activity with a predefined memo is selected.
If no predefined memo exists for the selected activity and the project requires a memo, CORE prompts you to enter one before the time entry can be saved.
