Incident Types

Overview

CORE allows you to create a list of Human Resources items such as employee incident types. This list is then used to create and track employee incidents.

Ensuring employee safety is an essential component of human resource management. It is possible that events occur at the workplace that have legal implications–for example, injury, acts of violence, or harassment of employees. Incidents can also be regarded as events that can result in a crisis, if not handled properly or on time. The seriousness of these issues entails that a record is maintained and the incidents are reported to the legal authorities.

CORE HR helps you keep track of incidents, ensuring that your company fulfills its legal obligations. It also helps you decide on what actions to take. You can create and maintain a list of incident types that can be used to flag employee incidents. Some of the common incidents are injury, accident, theft, DUI, and so on. You can create any number of incident types and then use them while creating employee incidents. Click here to watch a video on managing employee incidents in CORE.

Mark Screen as Favorite

Create Incident Types

To add an incident type, watch this video or follow these steps:

  1. Open the Incident Types screen from the side menu > Settings > Human Resources.

  2. In the list view, click Add and enter the required information in the top row of the grid.
    • Incident Type: type of incident that has occurred (for example, an accident, theft, etc.)
    • Description
  3. Click Done. The new incident type is added to the list.

Mark Screen as Favorite

You can mark or flag the most-often used and important screens in CORE as your favorites up to a maximum of ten. These favorite screens then display separately on the side menu under the Favorites list. You can manage all your favorite screens in CORE from User Settings.

To mark this screen as your favorite, watch this video or follow these steps:

  1. Open the Incident Types screen from the side menu > Settings > Human Resources.

  2. Click favorites.png on the top-right.
  3. You can access this screen from the side menu under Favorites.
