Overview
Note: Help content (except videos) has been updated to reflect the UI/UX changes in CORE.
Whenever you preview reports, statements or invoices in CORE from any screen, CORE displays them as a PDF or in a viewer providing you with various options. Click to watch this video on using the invoice and report viewer in CORE.

View Document Map |
This toggle button shows or hides the tree structure of a report on the left. It helps in navigating to the specific areas of a report. Click |
Export Options |
Enables you view a report or an invoice as a PDF, an Excel spreadsheet, a Word document or a .CSV spreadsheet. The CSV format allows you to use the report data for aggregation and charting in Microsoft Excel or any other spreadsheet program. You can save the report or invoice in the required format at any location. |
Email |
Allows you to email a report or an invoice in the PDF, Excel or Word format. It opens the Email screen with the file attachment. |
Memorize |
Opens the Memorize dialog where you can save a modified report under a new name and group. Memorized reports can be accessed from the Reports > Memorized screen. |
Favorite |
This toggle button allows you to tag a report as your favorite. Favorite reports can be accessed from the Reports > Favorite screen. Clicking this button again removes the report from the Favorite list. This option is not available in case of invoice journals. |
Current Page |
You can also enter a page number in the Current Page box to jump to a specific page of a report or an invoice. |

Page Up/Down |
If you prefer using the keyboard, scroll page-by-page through the report or an invoice using the Page Up/Down keys. You can also use the keyboard arrows to scroll vertically and horizontally on a page. |

Report Group |
You can choose whether to save the memorized report under an existing report group or create a new group from scratch.
Note: Even if you share the memorized reports by making them public, others cannot delete or customize them as long as you are the owner of those reports. |
Navigate Reports and Invoices
There are various options available in the viewer to navigate reports and invoices. Some of the options are specific to the content being viewed, whether it is a report or an invoice.
To navigate a report (or an invoice) in CORE, watch this video or follow these steps:
- Open a report or an invoice from any CORE screen. It displays in the viewer.
- Click
on the tool bar at the top to display a tree structure of the report. Check Field Descriptions above for details.
- Click
to open any tree and jump to that section of the report.
- You can also enter a page number in the Current Page box to jump to a specific page of the report or an invoice.
- Click

to move to the Next Page or Last Page of the report or an invoice. You can click
or
to move to the Previous Page or First Page.
- If you prefer using the keyboard, scroll page-by-page through the report or an invoice using the Page Up/Down keys. You can also use the keyboard arrows to scroll vertically and horizontally on a page.
Print Reports and Invoices
To print a report or an invoice, watch this video or follow these steps:
- Open a report or an invoice from any CORE screen. It displays in the viewer.
- Click the Print Report icon on the tool bar to open the report in the PDF viewer from where you can download or print it.
- Alternatively, right-click on the page and select Print.
- In both cases, select the printer options, properties, print range and copies to print.
- Click Print.
Email Reports and Invoices
To email a report or an invoice from CORE:
- Open a report or an invoice from any CORE screen. It displays in the viewer.
- Click
on the tool bar at the top to email the report or an invoice as a PDF, Word or Excel file. Check Field Descriptions above for details.
- You can accept the standard email message (from Settings or User Settings) or enter a new one.
- Similarly, accept the predefined subject or enter a new one.
- Click Add Attachments at the bottom if you want to attach any files to the bill. You can also drag-and-drop any file into the Compose Email window from your desktop or email program. Then click Email.
If the email is sent to an address that is no longer working, there is a bounce-back email sent to let you know about this.
Note: You cannot remove the default or system attachments. Only user-defined attachments can be added or removed. CORE restricts the file size of the attachments to 10 MB and sends the attachments as a single zipped file.
Export Reports and Invoices
CORE allows you to export reports and invoices to other formats such as PDF, Word, Excel or CSV. The Export feature for Excel handles numeric and currency fields. You can use the Excel output to create summary columns or add your own formula in case of selected reports like Contract Analysis, Account Transactions, and Profit & Loss reports.
To export a report or an invoice in CORE:
- Open a report or an invoice from any CORE screen. It displays in the viewer.
- Click
on the tool bar at the top to open and export a report or an invoice to another format (PDF, Word, Excel or CSV). Check Field Descriptions above for details.
- An export file is created and saved on your system at the default download location, say your desktop. Click to open the file.
Search Reports and Invoices
To search for any text on a report or an invoice, watch this video or follow these steps:
- Open a report or an invoice from any CORE screen. It displays in the viewer.
- Click
on the tool bar at the top.
- Enter the search term in the search box.
- Click Find
or Find Next
to go to the highlighted search term on the page.
Memorize Reports
CORE allows you to memorize frequently run reports along with their filters. The Memorize feature also allows you to categorize your reports the way you prefer. You can make the memorized reports public by sharing them with other CORE users or keep them private to yourself. Even if you share the memorized reports by making them public, others (non-owners) can delete or customize them for themselves only, not globally, as you are the owner of those reports.
To memorize a report, watch this video or follow these steps:
- Open a report from any CORE screen. It displays in the viewer.
- Click
on the tool bar at the top.
- On the Memorize dialog, enter the required information. Check Field Descriptions above for details.
