Lead Sources

Overview

Note: Help content (except videos) has been updated to reflect the UI/UX changes in CORE.

A lead source is the primary source through which leads and prospects find out about your company. It refers to the common avenues your company collects the leads from. The source could be advertisements, trade shows, Internet or search engines such as Google, word-of-mouth, emails, conferences, resellers, etc. You can create a custom list of lead sources to represent how the leads and prospects were identified by your company. When entering new leads and prospects, it is helpful to understand how they came into contact with you. For instance, if a Google ad is sending a lot of prospects your way, you might want to focus more marketing money on this outlet when possible.

Field Descriptions

Field Name Field Description
CRM Lists > Lead Sources >
Lead Source Name of a lead source, such as Internet, email, ads, etc.
Active Indicates whether a lead source is active and available to be used for leads or prospects.

 

Add Lead Sources

To add a lead source, watch this video or follow these steps:

  1. Open the Lead Sources screen from the side menu > Settings > CRM.

  2. In the list view, click Add and enter the required information in the top row of the grid. Check Field Descriptions above for details.
    • Lead Source: Name of a lead source, such as Internet, email, ads, etc.

    • Active

  1. Click Done. The new lead source is displayed in the grid.

View Reports

To view a report:

  1. Open the Lead Sources screen from the side menu > Settings > CRM.

  2. In the list view, click More > View Reports.
  3. Select a report from the Report List dialog. It opens in the viewer.
  4. Preview the report and then choose to export or print it.

Export Lead Sources

In CORE, you can export the lead sources to the Comma Separated Values file format. CORE exports data from all available columns and not just the columns visible in the grid.

To export lead source records to a .CSV file, watch this video or follow these steps:

  1. Open the Lead Sources screen from the side menu > Settings > CRM.

  2. In the list view, click More > Export as CSV.
  3. A .csv export file is created and saved on your system at the default download location, say your desktop. Click to open the spreadsheet.

Mark Screen as Favorite

You can mark or flag the most-often used and important screens in CORE as your favorites up to a maximum of ten. These favorite screens then display separately on the side menu under the Favorites list. You can manage all your favorite screens in CORE from User Settings.

To mark this screen as your favorite, watch this video or follow these steps:

  1. Open the Lead Sources from the side menu > Settings > CRM.

  2. Click favorites.png on the top-right.
  3. You can access this screen from the side menu under Favorites.
