Overview

When working with prospects, it is always helpful to know who you are competing against for the sale or to whom you lost various opportunities. In some cases, companies prepare comparative marketing material, such as comparison charts or competitive analysis so that their prospects have an easy-to-digest way of deciding whether they should do business with you. A list of competing businesses can help managers understand who their top competitors are and associating them with the sales opportunities later, keeping an eye on what they offer and potentially improving what is offered by your own company to ensure a steady stream of future business. BQE CORE CRM allows you to track your competitors via the Competition screen. This list shows up in the Opportunities screen. Click to watch this video on creating CRM lists in CORE.

Field Descriptions
Field Name | Field Description |
CRM Lists > Competition > | |
Competition | Name of the competitor. It can be the name of a company or an individual person. |
Active | Indicates whether a competition is active and available to be used in the CRM. |
Add Competition
To add a new competition, watch this video or follow these steps:
- Open the Competition screen from the side menu > Settings > CRM.
- In the list view, click Add and enter the required information in the top row of the grid. Check Field Descriptions above for details.

Click Done. The new competition is displayed in the grid.
View Reports
To view a report:
- Open the Competition screen from the side menu > Settings > CRM.
- In the list view, click More > View Reports.
- Select a report from the Report List dialog. It opens in the viewer.
- Preview the report and then choose to export or print it.

Export Competition
In CORE, you can export the competition information to the Comma Separated Values file format. CORE exports data from all available columns and not just the columns visible in the grid.
To export competition records to a .CSV file, watch this video or follow these steps:
- Open the Competition screen from the side menu > Settings > CRM.
- In the list view, click More > Export as CSV.
- A .csv export file is created and saved on your system at the default download location, say your desktop. Click to open the spreadsheet.

Mark Screen as Favorite
You can mark or flag the most-often used and important screens in CORE as your favorites up to a maximum of ten. These favorite screens then display separately on the side menu under the Favorites list. You can manage all your favorite screens in CORE from User Settings.
To mark this screen as your favorite, watch this video or follow these steps:
- Open the Competition screen from the side menu > Settings > CRM.
- Click on the top-right.
- You can access this screen from the side menu under Favorites.
