Messages

Overview

The Messages feature is an internal, real-time messaging system within Core. All employees of a company who are logged in as Core users can exchange messages with each other, groups or within their network for better communication. Messages can be used for internal communication purposes. You can send messages along with attachments. Click to watch this video on messages in Core.

Send Messages

You can send messages to other employees (individuals or groups) if they are Core users.

To compose and send a message, watch this video or follow these steps:

    1. Click  on the icon bar at the top.

    1. You can click See All Messages to open the main Messages screen and follow the next step 3. Else, just click Create Message to directly go to the compose mode (skip to step 4).

    2. Click Compose on the top-right.

    3. On the Compose Message screen, select or enter the required information:

      • To

      • Subject

      • Message

    1. Click Send Message.

View Messages

To view a message, watch this video or follow these steps:

    1. Click  on the icon bar at the top.

    1. On the Messages dialog, you can see the new messages.

    2. Click See All Messages to open the main Messages screen.

    3. On the Inbox panel, you can see all your received messages. The new messages display an indicator on the left.

    4. You can delete or mark your messages as read using the Actions menu.

    5. Select a message on the grid that you want to read and reply to by clicking on its row.

    6. On the Message Details screen, click Actions and select the relevant option:

      • Reply

      • Reply All

      • Forward

    1. On the Compose Message screen, enter your reply and click Send.

 

Add Documents

To attach a document to your message, watch this video or follow these steps:

    1. Click  on the icon bar at the top.

    1. On the Messages dialog, click Create Message.

    2. On the Compose Message screen, enter your message and then click Add Attachments at the bottom.

    1. On the Add Documents dialog, select the relevant tab, depending on the type of attachment.

      • Computer: To attach files stored on your computer, enter its Description and drag your file or click to browse to that location.
      • Hyperlink: To attach an external link, enter its Description and then insert the hyperlink.
      • Dropbox: To link files stored in your Dropbox account, enter its Description and then browse for it.
      • Google Drive: To link files stored in your Google Drive account, enter its Description and then browse for it.
      • OneDrive: To link files stored in your Microsoft OneDrive account, enter its Description and then browse for it.
      • Box: To link files stored in your Box account, enter its Description and then browse for it.
      • Resource Library: To link company resources, select the resource from the library. This option is available only with Core CRM.
    1. Click Add.

    2. On the main screen, click Send to send the message with the attachment.

Mark Screen as Favorite

You can mark or flag the most-often used and important screens in Core as your favorites up to a maximum of ten. These favorite screens then display separately on the side menu under the Favorites list. You can manage all your favorite screens in Core from User Preferences.

To mark this screen as your favorite, watch this video or follow these steps:

    1. Click  on the icon bar at the top.

    1. You can click See All Messages to open the main Messages screen.

    2. In the list view, click  on the top-right.

    3. You can access this screen from the side menu under Favorites.
