Weekly planning is preferred for most companies because it provides better visibility into resource schedules and workload distribution. You should select a single planning scale for your company from Settings > Projects > Planning > Planning Scale and use it consistently. Mixing weekly and monthly views can result in inconsistent data and reporting.
