Double Overtime (Double OT) must be calculated in BQE CORE before sending time data for payroll processing using CORE Payroll. CORE uses the Overtime (OT) Calculator to apply state-based labor rules and flag Regular, Overtime, and Double Overtime hours. An administrator must run the OT Calculator each payroll cycle (weekly or bi-weekly) to ensure that Double OT is calculated correctly. Payroll does not calculate Double OT independently and only receives the hours as flagged in CORE. After Double OT is calculated using the OT Calculator, it syncs to CORE Payroll the same way as regular and overtime hours.
