What does in-flight mean in Payroll?

Payroll is considered in-flight when it has been processed and the debit has been initiated from your company’s bank account, but the transaction has not yet cleared on Gusto’s side. Clearing typically occurs within 3 business days after the debit date. Any payroll amounts still in this state count toward the $300,000 fast-ACH limit.
