User wants to add a vendor in the line items on a budget, but cannot find the vendor in the Resource drop-down.
This happens because Core only displays vendors of type Contract Employee or Outside Consultant in the Employee or Resource drop-downs. One way to resolve this is to change the type of this vendor to one of the two. Otherwise, you can choose to show all three vendor types in the drop-downs by modifying your User Preferences. To do that, follow these steps:
- Open the User Preferences screen from the main company menu.
- Under the General panel, select the option Include vendors in employee drop-downs.
- Save the changes.
You can now see all types of vendors in the Employee or Resource drop-downs, including the ones in Budgets. Check the Help Guide for more on this option.
