BQE CORE automatically splits the time entries in any of the following cases:
- If you have set up Comp Time Details for an employee in Employees > General > Dates & Hours, CORE splits the time entries when the total hours entered by the employee in a given period (Frequency) exceeds the Hours specified there. Check CORE Help Center for details.
- If you have set up Standard Hours for an employee in Employees > General > Dates & Hours and checked Automatic Overtime, CORE splits the time entries when the total hours entered by the employee per day (or week) exceeds the Standard Hours set Per Day (or Week). CORE also flags the split time entries created from the additional hours as Overtime.
- If you create a billable time entry for a Fixed contract project that causes the total billable amount on the project to exceed the contract amount, CORE splits the time entry and marks the hours that are over the contract amount as non-billable. You can stop this type of splitting at the project-level by adding the project rule Skip automatic time entry evaluation. Check CORE Help Center for details.
Note: If more than one of these cases applies, CORE first evaluates the entries against the hours that are lowest. For example, if the Hours set in Comp Time Details are lower than the Standard Hours, CORE first splits the entries at the Comp Time hours and then evaluates any additional hours for overtime against the Standard Hours.
