In BQE CORE, Available Hours represent the total number of hours an employee can enter for a specific time period based on their standard work hours. These are essentially the planned or expected working hours for that period.
Locked Hours indicate the hours that can no longer be edited or deleted. This happens when:
- The associated time entries or accounting period have been locked or closed
- The time entries have been approved or included in billing/payroll
- The time entries are in use in another session, for example, if you have multiple CORE windows open or another user is working on the same entries
If time entries appear grayed out or disabled on the grid, it indicates they are locked. To resolve this in some cases, simply exit any active Invoices screen, close duplicate sessions, and refresh the Time Entries screen. When the lock is released, the entries can be edited again (if not tied to a closed period or billing). Check CORE Help Center for details.
