Embedded payroll allows you to manage the entire payroll process, including onboarding, payroll runs, tax filings, and payments, directly within the program, BQE CORE. Although it is powered by Gusto in the background, you do not need to log in to a separate payroll platform.
Integrated payroll, on the other hand, connects the program with an external payroll provider. This requires switching between systems and may involve re-entering data.
Some of the advantages of embedded payroll over integrated payroll include:
- All-in-one workflow: Payroll is handled entirely within CORE without switching between platforms
- No external account needed: All payroll features are managed in CORE, with no additional logins or accounts
- Less manual work: Employee and company data in CORE are reused for payroll, with timecard hours and pay rates flowing to Gusto, and payroll results syncing back to generate general ledger entries
- Fewer errors: Real-time data sync reduces mistakes caused by duplicate entry
- Better visibility: Payroll actions, statuses, and reports can be viewed directly in CORE
- Quicker processing: Faster onboarding and approvals for both companies and employees
- Integrated support: Payroll issues can be addressed directly through BQE Support, without contacting another vendor
