Time Approval

The changes you recently made to the "scrolling" have made approving time entries a lot more difficult.  When you individually select a bunch of time entries and then go to approve them, it apparently only approves the entries currently visible on the screen at that time (approx 10 entries at a time).  When have several hundred to approve this will take dozens of different steps.  If you use the "select all" on the left, it selects 25 at a time.  But when you scroll down to make sure you want to approve all 25, it will automatically bring up the next 25 - and those next 25 will be also selected for approval.  It is not possible to know how far you can scroll down before the next 25 are displayed and added to the select all list.

  • Hi Neal,

We were able to replicate the issue you stated.  For now, please approve the first 25, and then so forth.  We will talk to the developers about the behavior currently when selecting all on the initial screen, and the effect that scrolling down has.  Thank you for your feedback.

  • Thanks Doug.  The problem with that approach is what if you do not want to approve the 25th entry?  When you scroll down to get to the 25th in order to unselect it, the software automatically then brings up 26 to 50 and all those are now also preselected.

  • Hi Neal,

I will forward this to the developers.  Thank you again.

  • Yes, this limitation took us a whole day's worth of time going through our old transactions to clear them from the queue. Our Ops Manager has also mentioned this is time consuming when approving many time entries at once.  Please do keep us informed once this feature has been expanded on.
