Overview

The Communication screen allows you to add different communications types or methods such as Skype, Web, WhatsApp, Fax, etc. to your screens such as Employees, Clients, etc. It is useful if you want to maintain a record of multiple communication methods for your contacts. Add Communication Types

To add a new communication type, watch this video or follow these steps:

    1. Open the Communication screen from the side menu > Lists > Other.

    1. Click Add and enter the required information in the top row of the grid:

      • Name

    1. Click Done.

Delete Communication Types

As long as a communication method has not been used, you can delete it. You cannot delete the default system communication types.

To delete a communication type, watch this video or follow these steps:

    1. Open the Communication screen from the side menu > Lists > Other.

    1. Select a communication type on the grid and click Delete on its row.

    2. You can also select multiple rows and then click Actions > Delete.

 

Export Communication Types

In Core, you can export communication types to the Comma Separated Values file format. Core exports data from all available columns and not just the columns visible in the grid.

To export communication types to a .CSV file, watch this video or follow these steps:

    1. Open the Communication screen from the side menu > Lists > Other.

    1. In the list view, click More > Export as CSV.

    2. A .csv export file is created and saved on your system at the default download location, say your desktop. Click to open the spreadsheet.
