What is the easiest way to determine the project costs?

The easiest way to do this is to view the Projects > Performance screen. You can access it via the detail view of the project profile. It displays many useful widgets and info bar, including one that lists out the total cost of the project, among other KPIs. You can also find it using the Project Time & Expenses report, found under the Reports screen.
