If you choose to email an invoice to the Client Contact from the Invoices screen (Actions > Email > Client Contact), CORE sends the invoice to the client contact that you have set as the primary contact. Check CORE Help Center for details. However, you can assign a different billing contact to a project and override the default client contact for billing purposes. If you have set a Billing Contact for the project whose invoice you are emailing and checked the Send Invoice to Contact option, CORE sends the invoices and statements to the project-level Billing Contact instead of the default client contact. In addition, the address of this billing contact overrides the client address and prints on invoices and statements.
If you check the option Copy client when sending emails to Client Contact in Settings > Company > Email Settings:
When you send emails to the client:
- emails are sent to the client or client contact based on what is set up at the project level
- CORE checks if the above setting is turned on and, if yes, adds the client email address in the CC field even if the project is set to use a billing contact
When you send emails to the client contact:
-
emails are sent to the client contact
-
CORE checks if the above setting is turned on and, if yes, adds the client email address in the CC field even if the project is set to use a billing contact
-
If no client contact is found, then email is sent to the client only
