Every card has a home currency associated with it. For example, when your client's card issued by a bank in UK is used to pay an invoice issued by you in Australia, it will be treated as an international card. Stripe charges additional fees for international cards and currency conversion. Some international cards are able to pay in multiple currencies and in such cases won’t be treated as international. Check here for details on Currency Conversions by Stripe.
