Billing contacts for projects

You can assign a different contact to a project other than the default client contact. For that, you must first add contacts to a client from the Contacts > Clients screen of CORE. On its Contact tab, click Add Contact and provide some basic information about the contact before saving. Only after adding client contacts here can they be selected as a billing contact for the project. Check CORE Help Center for details on that.

To add a billing contact for a project, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Projects screen and click on the project for which you want to add the billing contact.
  2. On the General > Billing Options tab, under Billing Contact, select the client contact from the drop-down list that you want to set as the billing contact for the project.
  3. You must check the Send Invoices to Contact option if you want CORE to send the project invoices and statements to this specific contact. Only then the invoices are redirected from the default client contact to the project contact.

This overwrites the billing contact set at the client level. Do note that the changes to the billing contact of projects only apply to the new invoices and not existing ones. To change the contact details on existing invoices, you need to delete and re-create them.
