Budgeting and reporting based on categories instead of individuals

In CORE, you can do budgeting and reporting based on activity or labor categories instead of individual items. This is possible through the group feature. You can create the relevant groups for your activity or service items (and expense items). This allows you to budget or report by individual activities or activity groups. If you use groups, make sure to set the group as the Default Group of the activity. This will then work with the Budget Comparison report when displayed by activity.

You can also use the All Employees or All Vendors group on the budget line item with the activity group. Check CORE Help Center for details.
